Brussels ↔ Genval and La Hulpe

A wedding on the shores of Lake Genval or a seminar at the Château de La Hulpe always raises the same question for the organisers: how do you get the guests there and, above all, how do you get them home once dinner is over? Both venues are half an hour from central Brussels, south of the Sonian Forest, but most guests are staying in town, at a hotel or at home, and many do not know the way. Scheduled transfers, from hotel to venue and back again, settle the matter without anyone having to get behind the wheel after the party.

Lake Genval was created in the early twentieth century in the valley of the River Argentine as a holiday resort; its shores are still lined with villas from that period. The Château du Lac, a former mineral water bottling plant turned hotel, hosts seminars, galas and weddings. In La Hulpe, the Solvay regional estate spreads over some 227 hectares of parkland, ponds and gardens around a château inspired by the great houses of the Loire, hired out for conferences and private receptions alike. In the château's farm buildings, the Folon Foundation displays the artist's watercolours, posters and sculptures.

For a wedding, the shuttle runs are built around the programme: ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, then staggered departures as the evening goes on. The Van carries seven people and the Van Business six in its lounge configuration, and several vehicles can be coordinated on quotation when the guest list grows. On weekdays, the same roads, through the Sonian Forest or via the E411, serve residential seminars and meetings at the companies based in La Hulpe, including the headquarters of Swift on Avenue Adèle. A single point of contact oversees every journey, from the rehearsal to the last ride home.
