What discretion means on board
On board, passengers prepare for a meeting, go over a negotiating position or call a capital. The chauffeur drives, handles the luggage and leaves the conversation to the passengers, without comment or questions about the schedule: discretion is part of the job. For a sensitive mission, any requirements specific to your protocol, whether a written confidentiality undertaking or restricted circulation of the programme, should be set out in your quote request.
The Van Business lends itself to last-minute briefings: lounge-style seating, tinted windows that shield passengers from view from the pavement, and room to open a file on your lap. Between appointments, the chauffeur waits out of the way, and a simple call is enough to bring the pick-up forward or push it back. Being multilingual, the chauffeur makes practical exchanges with a foreign delegation easier, but is no substitute for an interpreter.
Embassies: visits and recurring needs
Many embassies stand along Avenue de Tervueren and Avenue Franklin Roosevelt, or in the residential districts of Uccle. Only if the host institution allows it. Each site sets its own access rules, and on European summit days only accredited vehicles may cross the perimeter on Rue de la Loi. Without authorisation, the chauffeur drops the delegation at the designated visitor point, then waits at the location indicated. The programme changes during the day: who should we tell?+
Your contact, and only your contact. They update the programme, inform each chauffeur concerned and confirm the change with you. A meeting that runs over or an extra address can be absorbed within the hours of hire already booked. If the change goes beyond the planned duration or requires an additional vehicle, your contact first checks availability and replies to you before committing to anything.
How is the confidentiality of conversations on board protected?+
Through the discretion expected of any professional chauffeur: what is said in the vehicle stays there, and nothing is discussed outside. If your protocol office imposes stricter rules, such as a written undertaking, a limited number of people briefed on the programme or a particular procedure, describe them in your quote request; the team will then tell you what it can put in place and on what terms.

The entourage ideally travels in a Van Business, which takes six passengers and five suitcases. For a larger entourage, the Van seats seven passengers, or several vehicles are coordinated.
